Delco Accent is a political endeavor of a team of seasoned political organizers in Delaware County, PA, to connect community input and effective policy solutions into action, whether wealthy interests like it or not. Those closest to the harm are the best experts about what should be done to alleviate harm, but far too often, their voices are ignored. Because of ongoing national turmoil, a political campaign system that is entrenched in moneyed interests, and a media landscape that covers our lives like a sports competition, our voices are not even considered. Delco Accent is a local effort by advocates to disrupt harmful narratives, amplify the voices of those systemically ignored, and make the process of stakeholders actually making good policy decisions a much easier undertaking. We’re done waiting for our elected leaders to be consistently progressive. Our communities want progress, so we’re bringing our collective voices to the forefront.
